Why Our Lamb Is Different

Grass-Fed

Raised on open orchard pasture, out in the sun — never a feedlot.

Orchard-Raised

Our flock grazes between the pecan trees, mowing and fertilizing as they go.

No Shortcuts

A calm, healthy, low-stress life, the way sheep were meant to be raised.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Dorper lamb special?

Dorpers are a meat breed known for mild, sweet, tender flavor — without the gamey taste some people associate with lamb. Grass-fed and orchard-raised, they're about as clean and wholesome as lamb gets.

Do you sell lamb by the half or whole?

Yes — we process a limited number of lambs each year. A half lamb is $250 and a whole lamb is $500, cut and ready for your freezer. Full payment reserves yours, with farm pickup only in mid-December. Call or text Brian at (210) 823-3124.

Can I raise Dorper sheep from your flock?

Yes — we raise free-range Dorper rams and ewe lambs and sometimes have animals available for folks starting a flock of their own. We don't list live animals for sale online, so just reach out and we'll tell you what's available. Farm pickup in Bastrop.

Can I come see the farm?

Please do — the best way to understand a farm is to stand on it. Come meet the sheep, walk the orchard, and see how it all works together. Get in touch to arrange a visit →
